Dog Days
I promise this isn’t becoming a dog blog, but I needed to explain where my time has been going lately!

I’ve got a lot of big plans for 2022. In all honesty, I’ve actually been waiting for the new year to make a few big moves, primarily registering a business officially so that I can cleanly start tracking everything for a new tax year. 2022 is here, and so are my updates!
500 escape rooms- it’s sort of hard to believe. If each room averages one hour, that almost three weeks of my life spent playing escape rooms, 24×7. If I started solving escape rooms full time, nine to five, it would take me more than twelve weeks to hit this mark.
This weekend, I got my ducks in a row to prepare for my 500th escape room. Two rooms Wednesday, one Friday, one Saturday, and one Monday was all it took to line me up at 499 prior to Tuesday, September 7.
I wont bury the lede on this one- I went to Sixty to Escape Milwaukee this weekend, played three games, and snagged the coolest escape room prize currently in my possession: an oversized gold pirate coin, prop quality, with the business and room name etched in code around the side.
491, with just under two weeks to reach 499. The pressure is on.
My last update shared a few quick takeaways from a puzzle hunt I had gotten involved in. All of a sudden I’ve hit three puzzle hunts in three weeks and I’m ready to consider myself an addict. As if that wasn’t obvious already.
I didn’t particularly care for the first Escape Room movie, yet for whatever reason, I had an itch to watch this one. Maybe the studio did a good job with the trailer, maybe I just missed theaters… Whatever the reason, I jumped on the opportunity to go see this one.
Any time I go two weeks without posting anything here, I feel a little guilty. No matter how busy I get, there’s always time for just a little bit of sharing, even if it’s an abbreviated update. But here I am, back among the living.
Exhausted- that’s the theme of the day. Please pardon the scattered nature of this entry.
