July 28, 2018 – Grabbing a coffee at Culture Espresso in New York City, I pull out my phone and scan over a map of the northern metro rail.  New Haven appears to be the biggest city in Connecticut on the line… but Stamford is a lot closer.  I cross-check “Stamford” and “escape room”, and voila: Trap’t!

June 1, 2018 (Flashback) – It’s about time for me to get back to the story of the journey across the Pacific Northwest, centered around a cruise from Seward, AK to Vancouver, BC.  The trip began with an overnight flight from Chicago to Anchorage, and after arriving in Anchorage well before the crack of dawn, I had a few hours to spend in town.

June 23, 2018 – After reaching as far east as West Virginia, we turned around and started the long trip home.  Originally the plan was to hit some non-escape room attractions on the way home, but as it worked out, I wasn’t done with solving puzzles quite yet.

January 19, 2018 (Flashback) – I’m excited to be writing about my trip to Windsor.  It’s not a part of my 50 state goal, but it was still easily worth the slight detour.  After a disappointing trip to Toronto in 2017, in which my dad and I struggled to find rooms that would allow a group of two to either book a room or join with others, we weren’t sure what to expect from Windsor, but my time at Mind Over Matter still stands as one of my favorite escape room experiences ever.

January 19, 2018 (Flashback) – January 19 was the real start to the year’s adventure.  Up until this point, the idea of hitting all 50 states was a fun thought, but little more.  This weekend I chewed up some road and started making the dream a reality.
