Jigsaw – Night and Day
Finally had a chance to dive into the jigsaw puzzle I got from Buffalo after Balloon Dream was missing a piece.
Puzzle Games Together
We’ve reached an era in which there are far too many high quality puzzle games for one person to play. (Or at least one person without an overabundance of time on his or her hands) I don’t want to make a habit of vanishing into a man cave, only to emerge days later with a few more puzzles under my belt. Thankfully, I’ve found a way to get the best of both worlds.
Arvada, CO: Conundrum Escape – Experiment C73
June 13, 2020 – After a VERY brief adventure at the top of Pike’s Peak, Christina and I weren’t ready to call it a night. Our first thought was to search for an escape room near Colorado Springs, but after striking out on available slots / locations, we scanned the Denver area again. Miraculously, Conundrum had one slot available for Experiment C73, and we had just enough time to get up to Arvada before the slot.
Puzzle Boat 2
At long last, we’ve finally completed Puzzle Boat 2! What started as an afternoon session with our whole team working together at the same time turned into a full month of nonstop puzzling that occupied every discretionary moment I can find.
Jigsaw – Witch’s Kitchen Escape Puzzle
After a long hiatus, I jumped into another Ravensburger escape puzzle. I’ve solved about half of the designs in this series and always enjoy them- the puzzles are a nice little reward for solving the jigsaw.
93 Down, 39 To Go
Hanging out at the auto mechanic today to address an overdue issue with an engine part on recall, and it’s been a good opportunity to kick back and solve a few puzzles. Our team, The Sign of Four, is down to the final 39 puzzles of Puzzle Boat 2, which sounds like a lot when you don’t consider how many we started with.
Strange Weeks
These last few weeks have been strange. I’ve been busy, but I’ve been able to do a LOT of puzzles. Mostly by sacrificing sleep.

Escape Room International Championship – Qualifying Round
Though the Escape Room International Championship occurred after Red Bull Discovery Lab, I think it’s more fitting to talk about it first. There’s so much more to unpack about the Discovery Lab that I might have to break out a full series of writeups about.
