I mentioned new projects this year, and here’s a little one – a utility for tracking puzzles and games I release into the wild. I’ve dropped games and puzzle books off to Little Free Libraries before, and now I’ve added a fun way to learn a little more about where these games wind up.
How does it work? For each game, puzzle, or book I donate, I’m going to attach a “where did you find me?” sticker with a QR code that brings the finder to a page with a utility for recording discoveries.
Do I think anyone is going to use it? No clue! But even that experiment is valuable to me. Every time I drop something off, I’ll be eagerly watching the page to see if any new logs pop up. And if any of the items happen to get to multiple different people in circulation, all the better.
The new page with the log can be found here. No entries yet, but I plan to start logging entries when I release the items into the wild, as well.
