I mentioned it in a previous post, but last weekend, March 23-24, I took a very quick journey to St. Louis and back. Between the morning of March 23 and the afternoon of March 24, I solved nine escape rooms. Even for an enthusiast, it felt like a lot, but I have no regrets!
So I took a trip to St. Louis last weekend and haven’t yet written a word on it. I guess that’s bound to happen sometime when I’m moving along in a hurry. Just about 24 hours in St. Louis, and nine escape rooms solved (well, eight around St. Louis and one on the way home). There were definitely a few noteworthy adventures, and I’ll provide those stories at another time. For now, it’s time for a puzzle.
This week’s puzzle is slightly more on the mathematical side, but I have to believe that a visual thinker would be able to come up with the optimal answer, too. Half the fun will be deciding how to approach this one- I was intentionally vague on some of the assumptions. All interpretations are fair game, although there is one specific answer I have in mind.
July 29, 2018 – After staying just a bit too long in Philadelphia, I was on a tight timetable to solve an escape room in Delaware and catch a bus to Washington DC before the night’s end. Thankfully, Axxiom has a few conveniently placed locations along the nearby public transit routes, so we had an opportunity to complete the state.
Fair or foul, having a puzzle where the answer is not technically correct when written, but it’s fine when spoken? Take a pile of junk, add an S at the start, and you get a wooly creature. HEAP / SHEEP. While SHEAP is not a word, it works when spoken aloud.
May 27, 2018 – At long last, I had reached the final point of my road trip through the midwest. Chicago to St. Louis to Kansas City to Tulsa to Omaha to Sioux Falls, all before heading back to Chicago. My poor car had to get back to back oil changes with the mileage I put on it. But it was well worth it- both Escapades and the town of Sioux Falls were extremely memorable.
Yes, I’m a day late with puzzle #39… But as far as I know, puzzle #38 has not been answered yet, so there’s been something to work on in the meantime! Either way, it’s time I post a new puzzle for the week.
No, this post title isn’t an Antarctica-themed escape room. It’s a summary of my weekend. Christina and I hit the road right after work Friday and headed north, despite warnings of a serious snowstorm.
